Solo Exhibition at The Clemente Feb 5-26
Filmed from 2009 to 2015 in New York, DC, California and Texas, this solo exhibition features a series of framed photographs and projections. Specific frames of self-shot 16mm motion picture film are selected and then explored for their seemingly ambiguous place within a larger narrative. The images capture the motion associated with the unfolding of moments, allowing for a haunting, cinematic setting from which the viewer glimpses the temporary aspects of a larger story. Though the viewer has only experienced a few isolated frames, these moments provoke the observer to create a larger drama internally, much in the way that distant memories are often pulled together to create a past which may or may not have existed.
